Homepage The new homepage is designed to help you access information faster and to find tools and resources with which you may not be familiar. In addition to our traditional daily dossier format, we have new content formats and category names that are more intuitive and easier to navigate. There are more sections, cross-referenced and sorted by title, popularity, author, date and format (dossier, video, etc.) so you can quickly access the information that's important to you. The homepage provides our usual awe inspiring daily content and featured links, as well as one-click access to key features. You'll have easier access to our content and extensive archives. Note: the new Disinformation logo at the top is a consistent link back to the homepage from anywhere in the site.
Universal login
The new universal log in allows members (free of charge) to participate in live chat, post opinions in the forums and check email all using one password. This system is designed to remember your unique login by utilizing a cookie placed on your computer by us. If you would like a full explanation of cookies, click here. If you wish, you can select the "remember me" option and only have to login once. Pretty cool, huh? Also, you will notice an adorable little pop up window that will notify you when you have received a new email message.
Online Community
Our revamped forums and chat allow you to participate in discussions about our content or other topics with other members. If you are currently a message board regular, you'll notice a better experience immediately. All of those who have not been a part of the Disinformation community, we invite you to take a minute to sign up and become a member. With our new and improved forums, you can view messages either threaded or unthreaded as well as a listing of all topics available for discussion. The boards are easier to read and respond to, and we have enabled additional preferences to help you control the presentation. Our updated chat applet now supports voice chat and user created rooms for your most private of conversations.
Articles
We have also added a new content area, creatively named "articles". The articles are generally longer and more detailed than our traditional dossiers. We are really excited to be able to give you a wider range of content to choose from and we hope you will be too.
Navigation
We have broadened the number of categories and navigation tools to provide a more intuitive way to navigate the entire site. These new navigation tools can be found on all levels of the site. The first is the "list all in category" [link to all in category] option, found on the second level of the site. If you are looking for an article or review on a particular subject by title, select the "list all in category" option and "by title". This will provide an alphabetical listing of content for you to choose from. This can be particularly helpful when searching for topics you may be interested in and do not know if we have covered the issue or not, such as the "JFK Assassination" but don't know where to begin. By clicking on "conspiracies" you find four featured items and the "List all in category" link. Clicking "list all in category" and "title", you'll find a link to the "JFK Assassination" dossier. Our content is further ordered by title, author, date and format giving you, our reader, mutiple options on how best to access the content on our site.
Search
The original "subculture search engine" (tm) has been completely revised and is once more the most exhaustive library of all things alternative available
on the web today. Every site we review and link to in our dossiers is fully spidered and indexed by our search engine and the results are then ranked by relevancy for your convenience.
