| "BERLIN — A homicide attacker who killed four German soldiers in Afghanistan was a member of Usama bin Laden's Al Qaeda (search) network and also had links to the former Taliban (search) regime, Germany's defense minister said Wednesday. "The German soldiers and at least one Afghan civilian were killed Saturday when an explosives-packed vehicle pulled up alongside a convoy of buses taking the soldiers to the airport to fly home. Another 39 people were wounded." |
